Christopher Garcia Partner

Christopher Garcia represents corporations on employment related matters, including policy making, EPL training, violence assessment, and corporate investigations of violations of policy and law. A graduate of Cornell Law School, he has won Title VII and state law trials in Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and New York, and has defended employment cases throughout the Midwest and the East Coast.​Mr. Garcia has won verdicts in cases involving workplace violence and sexual assault. He won a trial in a Title VII case on behalf of the largest private security firm in the country sued in a Title VII, religious discrimination case. Mr. Garcia has investigated various equal employment practices charges and allegations including allegations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, harassment based upon a disability or gender expression and discrimination based upon race and age. He has testified at trial as the lead investigator in a request for an accommodation pursuant to the ADA. Our client prevailed at trial and Mr. Garcia’s management of the ADA request was highlighted in the court’s opinion. Mr. Garcia has published articles on the ADA, Title VII and most recently on the various challenges to COVID-19 vaccination policies. Christopher Garcia has engaged employment litigation as a trial lawyer, expert witness and as an academic through his publications and employment law, legal writing classes at Chicago-Kent Law School.​

David Manjarres Of Counsel

David Manjarres is an experienced attorney practicing in all areas of civil law. While in law school, Mr. Manjarres was honored to serve as a law extern to U.S. District Court Judge Ruben Castillo of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has vast experience practicing with some of the largest law firms in the U.S. His clients have included Fortune 500 companies, as well as mid and small sized businesses and individuals. Mr. Manjarres is a creative attorney with a track record of success in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He is experienced in every aspect of litigation, including success in both jury and bench trials. He is an imaginative and effective negotiator with proven ability and represents clients in management – labor relations between clients and unions. He has represented clients with the Teamsters Union, the Laborers Union, the Operators Union, the Painters Union, the Carpenters Union, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and the United Auto Workers Union, among others. Mr. Manjarres and Mr. Garcia have been working together for a decade and their last trial, which Mr. Manjarres first chaired, resulted in a verdict for his client in the Circuit Court of Lake County on an employment contract claim.​
